Across Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin, Essentia Health runs an integrated system of 14 hospitals, 80 clinics, 30 retail pharmacies, six long-term care facilities, and eight ambulance services, with a research institute attached. More than 16,500 people work there, over 2,500 of them physicians and advanced practitioners. It's headquartered in Duluth, Minnesota, and its network includes many Catholic facilities.
